The Legal Sibling DNA Test is used to determine whether two individuals share the same biological father, mother, or both parents. This test is commonly requested for legal matters such as immigration, inheritance, benefits eligibility, or other situations where official documentation of a biological relationship is required.

All legal sibling testing is performed by an AABB-accredited U.S. laboratory using validated procedures and strict chain-of-custody protocols. Participant identities are verified at the time of collection, and all samples are securely documented and handled to ensure results are admissible for court and official use in all 50 states.

For the most conclusive results, it is strongly recommended to include the mother when available. Because each child inherits half of their DNA from their mother, her participation helps isolate the paternal contribution and improves the statistical strength of the analysis. Testing can still be performed without the mother if necessary.

Sample collection can be completed through a nationwide network of professional collection sites or through your own physician or clinic. If participants are located in different cities or states, separate collection appointments can be arranged for each individual.

Once all samples are received by the laboratory, results are typically available within a few business days. Official results can be delivered by secure email, and a notarized hard-copy report is mailed shortly after testing is complete.
